Its high chemical purity, mechanical strength, flexibility and compatibility with liquid dielectrics make it suitable for transformer insulation applications.
The material is primarily used as an insulation material in power transformers and distribution transformers. It can also be further processed into various transformer insulation components, including corrugated boards, cylinders, rings and mouldable parts.
